The numbers on influenza are staggering. For instance, 66% of health care workers didn’t get an annual flu shot in 2005. [17] And since influenza can be fatal among many high-risk groups, it’s just as important for you to get an annual flu vaccine as it is for the people you come in contact with—so you don’t spread the flu to others.
